ADA & Beyond Compliance Assessment for Six Branch Libraries

Working jointly with Natalye Appel + Associates Architects, Multi Design for People conducted a comprehensive accessibility needs assessment and provided beyond compliance recommendations for six City of Houston Branch Libraries. The Libraries range in size, age, community, programs offered and level of access.

illustrated reports were created for each library, identifying all barriers, ADAAG and TAS code references, beyond compliance opportunities, prioritized recommendations and cost estimating.

Consulting and design services are described under project name ADA Renovation for the City of Houston Public Libraries. Libraries included were: Ring Neighborhood Library; Melcher Neighborhood Library; Mrs. Amanda E. Dixon Public Library; J. S. Bracewell Public Library; Oak Forest Neighborhood Library and J. Frank Jungman Regional Public Library.
