The Reflector enables persons with hearing impairments to experience closed caption viewing from their seat in movie theaters. An acrylic panel reflects captions from a data wall display mounted in the rear of the theater, superimposing captions on the bottom of the movie screen. The re-design was triggered by consumer requests for an improved Reflector. Multi studied consumer behaviors with the Reflector and its impact on the movie-going experience, informing the re-design to be lightweight, be adjustable and to fit securely in an arm-rest cupholder with stay-in-place positioning.
